The Pre Sea Training Program in Deck Rating is meticulously crafted for individuals aspiring to build a career in the Deck category of merchant shipping, with the goal of becoming proficient Deck or Navigation officers.

Eligibility

  • Educational Background: 10th pass (Art/Commerce/Science) from a recognized board.
  • English Requirement: English should have been one of the subjects.

Certificates Provided

Upon successful completion of the training program, students will receive the course certificate from the academy, duly approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Surface and Transport, Government of India. Additionally, candidates will be awarded INDOS and a indian CDC (Continuous Discharge Certificate).

Career Prospects

After successfully completing the pre-sea training course, candidates are required to sail for a minimum period of 18 months to qualify for Officer Certificate of Competency (COC) assessments/exams. This program lays the foundation for a promising career in the maritime industry.
